Podcast obsession: Case Notes

A brand new podcast, this, which I chanced upon thanks to Twitter! Case Notes is a podcast by the British radio station ClassicFM, which plays (obviously) classical music. The podcast is super new, with the first episode out in mid-March, so at the time of writing this post, there are only two episodes to listen to – and naturally they are about classical music, in one way or another.

The first one is Haydn’s missing head… The title says it all! A story I had never heard before, and an intriguing mystery with a side of science (sort of…).

My favourite (well, there are only two at the time of writing!) is Gesualdo’s murders: a fascinating account of the musician’s marriage and of the gruesome murders of his wife and her lover. The music in the background, as well as the contributions from musicians and historians makes the podcast an original, riveting listen, one that I am now looking forward to!

Give it a go!
